Dr. Flaminia Antonelli is a renowned specialist in dermatology and venereology, currently practicing in Rome. She completed her residency at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome in January 2025, focusing on clinical and research activities in the dermatology and venereology department. Her experience includes conducting phase 2B, 3, and 4 clinical trials, with a particular commitment to treatments for atopic dermatitis and hidradenitis suppurativa. In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Antonelli is a prolific author, contributing to numerous scientific articles in prestigious international journals. Her research spans the effectiveness of new systemic drugs for moderate to severe psoriasis, to the analysis of side effects associated with atopic dermatitis treatments. Among her most significant works are studies on IL-1 antagonism in managing hidradenitis suppurativa and the long-term therapeutic response to dupilumab in patients with prurigo nodularis. Dr. Antonelli has been an active member of the Order of Physicians and Dentists of Rome since 2020, and continues to actively contribute to dermatological research, pursuing new therapeutic strategies to improve her patients' quality of life. Her expertise is further enriched by a collaboration with the prestigious IDI IRCCS institute, where she has participated as a sub-investigator in numerous clinical research projects. The conditions treated by Dr. Antonelli include atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis, alopecia areata, and other inflammatory and autoimmune skin diseases. With language skills in English and French, she is able to provide consultations both nationally and internationally.
